The first city in your Southeast Asia tour!

Upon your arrival in Siem Reap, you will be welcomed by a local English-speaking guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Siem Reap is the base for exploring the fabled temples of Angkor, the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire.

Optional tour: Bambu Stage – If you aren’t too tired from jet lag, you may wish to catch an evening performance at the Bambu Stage. Offering different shows on different nights of the week, Bambu Stage is a great introduction to Cambodian culture and history. In addition to a shadow puppet performance and a photographic history of Cambodia, Bambu Stage stages Angkor Decoded, a show that features the use of a large model to build Angkorian temples right in front of your eyes–as well as your participation! Complemented by captivating storytelling, live drawing, projections, and music, Angkor Decoded provides a rich story that’s fun, interactive, and engaging.

Day 2:Siem Reap: watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat & explore the complex.

Begin your tour with an early pickup from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. Then, start your adventure by climbing the main entrance of Angkor Wat and admiring the stunning sunrise over the site and all the surrounding temples.

Visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom. Angkor Thom comprises the renowned Bayon and Baphoun temples, originally made up of 54 towers and 216 faces of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. During the visit, learn the historical facts of the Angkor Temples and the Khmer Empire, as well as all the main Angkor architectural elements, from your guide.

After lunch, pass by both the Terrace of Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King, known as the royal viewing platform and the stage of the king’s great audience hall. Next, head to Ta Prohm Temple, known as the “jungle temple” or “tree temple,” referring to the lush trees surrounding the temple’s stones. Marvel at the gigantic roots of the trees embracing the ruins that have made it one of Angkor’s most popular temples. End your tour with a visit to Banteay Kdei, a temple built by King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century. After your visit, get dropped off at your Siem Reap hotel.

Siem Reap Ta Prohm

Day 3:Siem Reap: Kulen mountain tour by Jeep.

Be picked up from your hotel, sit back, and relax on the way to Kulen Mountain, one of Cambodia’s most sacred mountains, with deeply revered ancient sites and ruins on its high plateau. Take in the scenic countryside as you pass by rice paddies, local markets, schools, villages, and Buddhist temples. Stop at the palm sugar village, where they make palm sugar out of palm juice. Continue to the National Park, where you can get out to stretch your legs and snap pictures of the view.

Explore the vast plateau of Phnom Kulen by walking through jungle trails, through vine-covered trees until you reach Kbal Spean. Admire an array of unique carvings in the riverbed. Visit a large stone Buddha carved into the top of a rock set in a bustling temple complex in Preah Ang Thom. Have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Take a refreshing swim at Kulen Waterfall before returning to your accommodation in Siem Reap.

Day 1:Hanoi, where starts the Ideal Vietnam Vacation.

You are landing at Noi Bai International Airport. Welcome to Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam, a must-see destination for any traveler interested in experiencing the rich history and culture of Southeast Asia. After collecting your luggage, please move to the arrival lounge where Viland Travel’s representative is waiting for you with a welcome signboard. After greeting, you are transferred 45 minutes to Hanoi downtown. Check in to the room and spend the rest of the day to relax.

Note: Hotel check-in time is at 2:00 pm; your room may or may not be ready before this time.

Hanoi Foods Table – A Special Detail in Hanoi

Day 2:Hanoi: A day of strange but familiar things.

Kickstart your new day with tasty foods for better stamina and more energy. A daily hot breakfast is prepared and served at the hotel’s restaurant.

At 8:30, meet up with your tour guide in the hotel’s lobby for a full-day city tour of Hanoi. On this tour, you will explore many ancient architectures, delectable cuisine, and picturesque natural landscapes. The first attraction is Ba Dinh Square, where Uncle Ho read the Declaration of Independence, declaring the birth of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. To learn more about Vietnam’s history, you will visit some of the architecture in this area, such as the Ho Chi Minh MausoleumUncle Ho’s stilt house, and the one-pillar pagoda.

Next, you take a short drive to the outskirts of Hanoi to visit the fascinating Museum of Ethnology. From the outside, you will be attracted by the presentation and layout, from the form to the displayed content, which is very scientific and logical. It involves grasping the cultural colors of each ethnic group.

It’s lunchtime! You will enjoy Chả Cá Lã Vọng, Hanoi’s specialty since 1871. Chả Cá is a perfect combination of fresh noodles, grilled fish, sweet and sour sauce, and fresh vegetables. For vegetarian travelers, you have Bún Đậu (Fresh Noodles, tofu, soy sauce and fresh vegetables) instead. Following Lunch, you visit Hidden Gem Coffee Shop, 95% of the items in the shop are recycled to protect the environment. A cup of traditional Vietnamese coffee, especially coffee with eggs, is highly recommended there.

Continue to visit the Temple of Literature, known as the first university in Vietnam, famous for its beautiful architecture and provide a lot of information about the Vietnamese education system.

Another exciting activity awaits you! Our guide and driver will take you to Long Bien Bridge to admire the panorama river view. While walking on the 120-year-old bridge, your tour guide will tell you some stories about history, Red River Delta culture, and local daily life; the walking tour also includes a discovery of Banana Island right at the foot of the bridge.

Embark on a fun cyclo to end up the full-day tour. The riding is a chance to explore 36 streets in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. While sitting swaying on a Cyclo, you can enjoy the cool air, admire the Old French-style villas, observe people’s activities, listen to the sounds of vehicles… all create a unique experience in the journey to discover Vietnam.
